In Monday's non-league contest, the host New London Whalers lacrosse squad scored a tight 8-2 triumph over the Griswold Wolverines.

The Whalers (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Wheeler (North Stonington, CT). The Lions go into the non-league contest with a 3-2 record.

Next, the Wolverines meet the Killingly Redmen (Killingly, CT) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, May 15. Griswold will attempt to better on its 1-12 season record.
