Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA) and the host George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA), saw Martinsville's soccer squad hold off George Washington by a count of 3-2.

The Bulldogs (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Bassett (Bassett, VA). The Bengals enter the non-league battle with a 13-1 record. In their last battle, Bassett tipped Halifax County (South Boston, VA), 1-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Eagles battle the Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, May 13. George Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 8-5 record after their 3-3 non-league Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA).
