In Monday's league outing, the host Patrick County Cougars soccer squad scored a tight 5-1 win over the Carroll County Cavaliers.

The Cougars (1-14) will now prepare for their battle against James River (Buchanan, VA). The Knights enter the Three Rivers battle with a 2-10 record. In their last battle, James River by Auburn (Riner, VA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Cavaliers battle the Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, May 14. Carroll County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Maroon Tide enter the battle with a 11-2 record after their 8-0 league win over Grayson County (Independence, VA).
