The Avon Falcons softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Platt Panthers to 2 in the Falcons league win on Monday.

The Falcons now possess a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lewis Mills for a Central Connecticut - South battle on Wednesday, May 14. Avon will confront a Spartans team coming off a 19-0 non-league win over New Britain (New Britain, CT). The Spartans record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Platt moves to 1-14 on the season. The Panthers travel to Berlin (Berlin, CT) to confront the Redcoats in a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 13. The Redcoats come into the battle with a record of 10-3. Berlin won 6-0 in their recent non-league battle against Bristol Eastern (Bristol, CT)
