The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Calumet Copper Kings (Calumet, MI) and the visiting Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI), observed Calumet's softball team prevail over Houghton by a tally of 10-0.

The Copper Kings (7-5) will now prepare for their bout against Westwood (Ishpeming, MI). The Patriots go into the Western Peninsula bout with a 2-6 record.

In their next game, the Gremlins clash with the Hancock Bulldogs (Hancock, MI) in a Western Peninsula bout, on Wednesday, May 14. Houghton will attempt to advance on its 7-8 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 12-11 non-league loss to Millington (Millington, MI).
