Cheney Tech Chargers (Manchester, CT) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Goodwin RVT Gladiators (New Britain, CT), 19-14 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Cheney Tech upgrades its record to 5-2 on the year. The Chargers host Kaynor Tech (Waterbury, CT) to play the Panthers in a Connecticut Tech game on Thursday, May 15. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 4-3.

The Gladiators now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Ellis RVT for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 13.
