In Monday's league match, the visiting Conant Cougars softball team scored a tight 6-1 victory over the Schaumburg Saxons.

The Cougars (11-7) will now prepare for their match against Palatine (Palatine, IL). The Pirates go into the Mid-Suburban West match with a 13-13 record. In their last match, Palatine was routed by Fremd (Palatine, IL), 1-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Saxons battle the Hoffman Estates Hawks (Hoffman Estates, IL) in a Mid-Suburban West match, on Wednesday, May 14. Schaumburg will attempt to better on its 7-14 season record. The Hawks go into the match with a 1-20 record after their 20-0 league loss to Barrington (Barrington, IL).
