The Dirigo Cougars softball squad scored 11 runs and limited the host Gray-New Gloucester Patriots to 3 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Dirigo upgrades its record to 3-3 on the year. The Cougars travel to Waterville (Waterville, ME) to play the Panthers in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 13. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 0-4. Waterville lost 13-0 in their recent league game against Belfast (Belfast, ME)

The Patriots now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Region for a Class B South game on Friday, May 16. Gray-New Gloucester will play a Lakers squad coming off a 19-0 non-league win over Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME). The Lakers record now stands at 3-4.
