In Monday's league match, the host Fremd Vikings softball team scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Palatine Pirates.
The Vikings (22-3) will now prepare for their match against Barrington (Barrington, IL). The Fillies/Broncos go into the Mid-Suburban West match with a 25-2 record. In their last match, Barrington tipped Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL), 20-0, in a league match.
