The Pittsburg Panthers triumphed over the host Groveton Eagles softball squad by a count of 18-3 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Panthers play the Lin-Wood Lumberjacks (Lincoln, NH) in a Division IV challenge, on Tuesday, May 13. Pittsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Lumberjacks enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 8-5 league win over Littleton (Littleton, NH).

The Eagles (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Gorham (Gorham, NH). The Huskies enter the Division IV challenge with a 0-8 record. In their last challenge, Gorham was routed by Lisbon (Lisbon, NH), 8-4, in a league challenge.
