California High School Softball - James Lick succumbs to Independence

In Monday's league test, the Independence 76ers (San Jose, CA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting James Lick Comets (San Jose, CA), by a tally of 16-1.

Next, the 76ers clash with the San Jose Bulldogs (San Jose, CA) in a West Valley test, on Friday, May 16. Independence will attempt to advance on its 15-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 15-5 record after their 23-16 league win over Gunderson (San Jose, CA).

The Comets (2-10) will now prepare for their test against Overfelt (San Jose, CA). The Royals go into the West Valley test with a 0-12 record. In their last test, Overfelt was routed by Independence (San Jose, CA), 20-5, in a league test.
