Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Medomak Valley Panthers (Waldoboro, ME), 2-1 in a league game.

With the victory, Leavitt advances its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Morse (Bath, ME) to clash with the Shipbuilders in a Class B South bout on Wednesday, May 14. The Shipbuilders go into the bout with a record of 1-7. Morse lost 8-7 in their recent league bout against Erskine Academy (South China, ME)

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Gardiner Tigers (Gardiner, ME) in a Class B South bout, on Wednesday, May 14. Medomak Valley will attempt to advance on its 8-1 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 5-2 non-league loss to Cony (Augusta, ME).
