In Monday's league match, the host Thompson Tommies softball team scored a nice 14-4 victory over the Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg Patriots.
The Tommies (11-5) will now prepare for their match against Hillsboro/Central Valley (Buxton, ND). The H-CV Burros go into the non-league match with a 10-6 record. In their last match, Hillsboro/Central Valley gained a win over Hankinson/Campbell-Tintah/Fairmount (Fairmount, ND), 25-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Patriots battle the Northern Cass Jaguars (Hunter, ND) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, May 13. Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Jaguars go into the match with a 4-7 record after their 4-3 league win over Enderlin (Enderlin, ND).
