The Thornton Academy Trojans overwhelmed the visiting Westbrook Blue Blazes softball squad by a count of 15-10 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Trojans meet the Bonny Eagle Scots (Standish, ME) in a Class A South challenge, on Wednesday, May 14. Thornton Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Scots go into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 4-2 league loss to Kennebunk (Kennebunk, ME).

The Blue Blazes (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Scarborough (Scarborough, ME). The Red Storm go into the Class A South challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Scarborough was routed by Gorham (Gorham, ME), 2-0, in a league challenge.
