Indiana High School Softball - Whiting bested by Griffith

The Griffith Panthers triumphed over the host Whiting Oilers softball squad by a count of 17-2 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Illiana Christian Vikings (Dyer, IN) in a Greater South Shore challenge, on Thursday, May 14. Griffith will attempt to upgrade on its 16-1 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 21-8 league win over Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN).

The Oilers (5-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Hammond Morton (Hammond, IN). The Governors enter the non-league challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Hammond Morton overcame Hammond Central (Hammond, IN), 20-6, in a league challenge.
