Spectators at Friday's league match between the Forreston Cardinals (Forreston, IL) and the visiting Polo Marcos (Polo, IL), witnessed Forreston's softball squad tip Polo by a count of 2-1.

The Cardinals now sport a 16-4 record. They play next when they travel to West Carroll for a non-league match on Saturday, May 14. Forreston will face a Thunder squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to Galena (Galena, IL). The Thunder record now stands at 3-18.

With the loss, Polo moves to 8-8 on the season.
