The crowd at Friday's league match between the Manchester Panthers (Akron, OH) and the visiting Orrville Red Riders (Orrville, OH), saw Manchester's softball squad nip Orrville by a count of 8-3.

The Panthers now sport a 13-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwestern for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 17. Manchester will face a Huskies squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Norwayne (Creston, OH). The Huskies record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Orrville falls to 0-12 on the campaign.
