New York High School Baseball - Grand Island can't hold off Depew

In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Depew Wildcats baseball team scored a tight 8-7 victory over the Grand Island Vikings.
The Wildcats (16-1) will now prepare for their game against Maryvale (Cheektowaga, NY). The Flyers go into the ECIC III game with a 15-3 record. In their last game, Maryvale tipped Cleveland Hill (Cheektowaga, NY), 10-0, in a non-league game.
The Vikings (6-8) will now prepare for their game against Lewiston-Porter (Youngstown, NY). The Lancers go into the NFL game with a 2-9 record. In their last game, Lewiston-Porter was edged by Niagara Falls (Niagara Falls, NY), 6-5, in a league game.
