In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting McCutcheon Mavericks baseball team scored a tight 6-2 victory over the Avon Orioles.
The Mavericks (16-1) will now prepare for their game against Carmel (Carmel, IN). The Greyhounds go into the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Carmel was overwhelmed by Homestead (Fort Wayne, IN), 5-3, in a non-league game.
The Orioles (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Plainfield (Plainfield, IN). The Quakers go into the non-league game with a 13-6 record. In their last game, Plainfield was overwhelmed by Crown Point (Crown Point, IN), 3-1, in a non-league game.
