Howell Highlanders (Howell, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Belleville Tigers (Belleville, MI), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Highlanders now own a 14-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 13. Howell will face a Hawks squad coming off a 20-7 league loss to Dow (Midland, MI). The Hawks record now stands at 0-9.

With the loss, Belleville falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host Richard (Riverview, MI) to face the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 16. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a record of 1-9. Richard lost 8-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Divine Child (Dearborn, MI)
