Indiana High School Softball - Elkhart bounces Churubusco

The Elkhart Lions routed the visiting Churubusco Eagles softball squad by a final score of 13-3 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Lions (4-15) will now prepare for their battle against South Bend St. Joseph (South Bend, IN). The Indians go into the Northern Indiana battle with a 23-2 record. In their last battle, South Bend St. Joseph notched a victory over Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, IN), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Eagles now possess a 10-9 record. They play next when they travel to Heritage for a non-league battle on Monday, May 15. Churubusco will confront a Patriots squad coming off a 7-1 league win over Jay County (Portland, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 12-6.
