Knightstown Panthers (Knightstown, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Winchester Community Golden Falcons (Winchester, IN), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 8-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tri for a Tri-Eastern challenge on Monday, May 15. Knightstown will battle a Titans squad coming off a 9-2 non-league win over Centerville (Centerville, IN). The Titans record now stands at 13-9.

With the loss, Winchester Community falls to 5-14 on the campaign. The Golden falcons host Adams Central (Monroe, IN) to battle the Flying Jets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 16. The Flying Jets enter the challenge with a record of 15-3. Adams Central lost 9-2 in their recent league challenge against South Adams (Berne, IN)
