Portage Northern Huskies (Portage, MI) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Central Bearcats (Battle Creek, MI), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Huskies confront the Kalamazoo Christian Comets (Kalamazoo, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, May 17. Portage Northern will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record.

The Bearcats now have a 2-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Calhoun Christian for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 16. Central will confront a Cougars team coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to Zion Christian (Byron Center, MI). The Cougars record now stands at 6-5.
