Waterford-Halfmoon Fordians (Waterford, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mechanicville Red Raiders (Mechanicville, NY), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Fordians now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cairo-Durham for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 17.

With the loss, Mechanicville falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Red raiders travel to Cohoes (Cohoes, NY) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
