The Big Rapids Cardinals softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Reed City Coyotes to 8 in the Cardinals league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Big Rapids moves its record to 16-1 on the year. The Cardinals host Lakeview (Lakeview, MI) to play the Wildcats in a Central State Activities Association-Gold game on Tuesday, May 14. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 3-19. Lakeview lost 10-0 in their recent league game against Central Montcalm (Stanton, MI)

In their next game, the Coyotes play the Cadillac Vikings (Cadillac, MI) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 16. Reed City will attempt to move on its 15-5 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 2-5 record after their 17-0 league loss to Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI).
