Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME) and the visiting Buckfield Bucks (Buckfield, ME), witnessed Leavitt's softball squad tip Buckfield by a count of 4-3.

The Hornets now sport a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Erskine Academy for a Class B South match on Friday, May 17. Leavitt will face a Eagles squad coming off a 8-5 league loss to Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 3-8.

With the loss, Buckfield moves to 7-1 on the season. The Bucks travel to Richmond (Richmond, ME) to face the Bobcats in a Class D South match on Wednesday, May 15. The Bobcats go into the match with a record of 5-5. Richmond lost 2-1 in their recent league match against Valley (Bingham, ME)
