The crowd at Monday's league match between the Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) and the host Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA), saw Randolph-Henry's softball squad nip Buckingham by a count of 5-2.

The Statesmen now sport a 16-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nottoway for a James River match on Thursday, May 16. Randolph-Henry will face a Cougars squad coming off a 8-6 non-league win over Southampton (Courtland, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Buckingham falls to 10-4 on the campaign. The Knights host Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA) to face the Raiders in a James River match on Thursday, May 16. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 6-7. Amelia County lost 10-0 in their recent league match against Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA)
