Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties (Woonsocket, RI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Central Knights (Providence, RI), 20-5 in a league challenge.

The Mounties now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Cranston East for a Division 3 challenge on Wednesday, May 15. Mount St. Charles Academy will battle a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 11-0.

With the loss, Central falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI) to battle the Scarlet Knights in a Division 3 challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Scarlet Knights enter the challenge with a record of 0-11. Exeter-West Greenwich lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Cranston East (Cranston, RI)
