Haverhill Hillies (Haverhill, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Dracut Middies (Dracut, MA), 10-9 in a league challenge.

The Hillies now own a 5-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lowell for a Merrimack Valley - Conf 1 challenge on Wednesday, May 15. Haverhill will battle a Red Raiders squad coming off a 15-1 league loss to Andover (Andover, MA). The Red Raiders record now stands at 2-12.

With the loss, Dracut falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Middies travel to Greater Lawrence Tech (Andover, MA) to battle the Reggies in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Reggies enter the challenge with a record of 8-5.
