Spectators at Monday's league match between the Gilford Golden Eagles (Gilford, NH) and the visiting Hopkinton Hawks (Contoocook, NH), witnessed Gilford's softball squad tip Hopkinton by a count of 7-6.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 11-2 record. They play next when they host Belmont for a Division III match on Wednesday, May 15. Gilford will meet a Red Raiders squad coming off a 9-4 league loss to Monadnock (East Swanzey, NH). The Red Raiders record now stands at 5-11.

With the loss, Hopkinton moves to 5-8 on the season. The Hawks host Stevens (Claremont, NH) to meet the Cardinals in a Division III match on Wednesday, May 15. The Cardinals go into the match with a record of 2-10.
