The Rowan County Vikings softball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Greenup County Musketeers to 8 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Rowan County improves its record to 20-7 on the year. The Vikings travel to Bracken County (Brooksville, KY) to clash with the Polar Bears in a non-league game on Wednesday, May 15. The Polar Bears come into the game with a record of 24-6. Bracken County won 13-2 in their recent non-league game against Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY)

In their next game, the Musketeers clash with the Mason County Royals (Maysville, KY) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 14. Greenup County will attempt to improve on its 18-8 season record. The Royals come into the game with a 18-9 record after their 8-1 non-league win over Campbell County (Alexandria, KY).
