West Bend East Suns (West Bend, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hartford Orioles (Hartford, WI), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Suns now own a 9-12 record. They take the field next when they host Port Washington for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14. West Bend East will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 15-1 non-league loss to Cedarburg (Cedarburg, WI). The Pirates record now stands at 7-16.

With the loss, Hartford falls to 12-8 on the campaign. The Orioles travel to Slinger (Slinger, WI) to battle the Owls in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Owls enter the challenge with a record of 14-8. Slinger lost 13-7 in their recent league challenge against West Bend West (West Bend, WI)
