In Monday's non-league contest, the Houston Hurricanes (Houston, MN) softball team overwhelmed the host Schaeffer Academy Lions (Rochester, MN), by a margin of 22-1.

With the triumph, Houston moves its record to 15-6 on the year. The Hurricanes host Southland (Adams, MN) to play the Rebels in a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 14. The Rebels come into the contest with a record of 18-2. Southland lost 9-0 in their recent non-league contest against Blooming Prairie (Blooming Prairie, MN)

In their next game, the Lions play the Glenville-Emmons Wolverines (Glenville, MN) in a Southeast contest, on Tuesday, May 14. Schaeffer Academy will attempt to move on its 4-12 season record.
