The Lake Region Lakers got by the host Poland Knights softball squad by a final score of 4-3 in Monday's league battle.

The Lakers (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME). The Capers go into the non-league battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Cape Elizabeth was edged by Greely (Cumberland Center, ME), 9-4, in a non-league battle.

The Knights now possess a 4-6 record. They play next when they host Cape Elizabeth for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 15. Poland will meet a Capers squad coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Lake Region (Naples, ME). The Capers record now stands at 2-5.
