Murray County Central Rebels (Slayton, MN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lakeview Lakers (Cottonwood, MN), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Rebels now sport a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Russell-Tyler-Ruthton for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 16. Murray County Central will face a Knights squad coming off a 22-0 non-league win over Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda (Okabena, MN). The Knights record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Lakeview falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Lac qui Parle Valley (Madison, MN) to face the Eagles in a Camden challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 12-3. Lac qui Parle Valley won 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Redwood Valley (Redwood Falls, MN)
