The Amherst Falcons baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds to 1 in the Falcons league win on Tuesday.

The Falcons now own a 15-6 record. They take the field next when they host Manawa for a Central Wisconsin - East test on Thursday, May 15. Amherst will play a Wolves team coming off a 19-0 league loss to Shiocton (Shiocton, WI). The Wolves record now stands at 2-10.

With the defeat, Iola-Scandinavia drops to 8-7 on the year. The Thunderbirds travel to Wittenberg-Birnamwood (Wittenberg, WI) to play the Chargers in a Central Wisconsin - East test on Thursday, May 15. The Chargers go into the test with a record of 17-2. Wittenberg-Birnamwood won 6-2 in their recent non-league test against Tomahawk (Tomahawk, WI)
