The Avella Eagles baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Western Beaver Golden Beavers to 0 in the Eagles non-league win on Tuesday.
The Eagles now hold a 11-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eden Christian Academy for a non-league test on Monday, May 19. Avella will play a team coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA). The record now stands at 13-4.
With the defeat, Western Beaver drops to 13-5 on the year. The Golden beavers travel to Neshannock (New Castle, PA) to play the Lancers in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 14. The Lancers go into the test with a record of 16-4.
