In Tuesday's league bout, the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT) baseball squad edged the host Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT), by a tally of 5-4.

Next up, the Hilltoppers encounter the Burlington Seahorses (Burlington, VT) in a Metro bout, on Friday, May 16. St. Johnsbury Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-0 season record. The Seahorses enter the bout with a 0-4 record after their 10-5 league loss to Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT).

The Hornets (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Colchester (Colchester, VT). The Lakers enter the Metro bout with a 1-1 record.
