New York High School Baseball - Nichols holds off St. Mary's

The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Nichols Vikings (Buffalo, NY) and the visiting St. Mary's Lancers (Lancaster, NY), saw Nichols's baseball team beat St. Mary's by a margin of 8-4.

The Vikings (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Maryvale (Cheektowaga, NY). The Flyers enter the non-league battle with a 13-4 record. In their last battle, Maryvale was overwhelmed by Depew (Depew, NY), 9-7, in a league battle.

Next, the Lancers face the Orchard Park Quakers (Orchard Park, NY) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, May 15. St. Mary's will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Quakers enter the battle with a 9-5 record after their 1-0 league loss to Lancaster (Lancaster, NY).
