The Lyons Lions triumphed over the visiting Downers Grove South Mustangs lacrosse team by a tally of 8-2 in Tuesday's league match.
Next up, the Lions confront the Lane Tech Champions (Chicago, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, May 24. Lyons will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Champions come into the match with a 0-4 record after their 14-1 non-league loss to Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL).
The Mustangs (1-7) will now prepare for their match against Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL). The Patriots come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Stevenson was overwhelmed by DePaul College Prep (Chicago, IL), 8-1, in a non-league match.
