The Alpena Wildcats softball squad (Alpena, MI), was routed 6-1 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Gaylord Blue Devils (Gaylord, MI)

With the triumph, Gaylord improves its record to 15-2 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Garber (Essexville, MI) to face the Dukes in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 17. The Dukes enter the contest with a record of 10-11. Garber won 13-6 in their recent league contest against Glenn (Bay City, MI)

The Wildcats now hold a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Alma for a non-league contest on Thursday, May 15. Alpena will face a Panthers squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Breckenridge (Breckenridge, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 6-5.
