The Summersville Wildcats overwhelmed the host Alton Comets softball squad by a count of 20-10 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats meet the Bernie Mules (Bernie, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, May 14. Summersville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Mules go into the challenge with a 28-7 record after their 9-4 league win over Puxico (Puxico, MO).
The Comets (8-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Winona (Winona, MO). The Wildcats go into the non-league challenge with a 4-12 record. In their last challenge, Winona was routed by Alton (Alton, MO), 9-8, in a non-league challenge.
