In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Colome Cowboys softball team scored a tight 6-4 victory over the Parkston Trojans.
The Cowboys (6-8) will now prepare for their match against Mobridge-Pollock (Mobridge, SD). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Mobridge-Pollock tipped Sisseton (Sisseton, SD), 21-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Trojans battle the McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD) in a non-league match, on Friday, May 16. Parkston will attempt to better on its 6-12 season record. The Fighting Cougars go into the match with a 8-8 record after their 18-7 league win over Colman-Egan (Colman, SD).
