The Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Maple River Eagles to 0 in the Knights non-league win on Tuesday.

The Knights now possess a 17-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host United South Central for a non-league battle on Friday, May 16. Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial will confront a Rebels team coming off a 10-0 league win over Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN). The Rebels record now stands at 20-1.

With the loss, Maple River moves to 12-7 on the season. The Eagles travel to Waseca (Waseca, MN) to confront the Bluejays in a South Central battle on Thursday, May 15. The Bluejays come into the battle with a record of 6-10. Waseca won 15-6 in their recent league battle against Medford (Medford, MN)
