In Tuesday's league test, the Union City Bears (Union City, PA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA), by a tally of 22-0.

Next, the Bears meet the Cochranton Cardinals (Cochranton, PA) in a non-league test, on Thursday, May 15. Union City will attempt to advance on its 12-4 season record. The Cardinals go into the test with a 17-1 record after their 15-0 league win over Lakeview (Stoneboro, PA).

The Lakers (0-6) will now prepare for their test against North East (North East, PA). The Grape Pickers go into the non-league test with a 4-15 record. In their last test, North East was routed by Northwestern (Albion, PA), 15-0, in a league test.
