The Merrill Bluejays overwhelmed the visiting Wausau East Lumberjacks softball squad by a count of 12-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Bluejays meet the D.C. Everest Evergreens (Schofield, WI) in a Wisconsin Valley challenge, on Thursday, May 15. Merrill will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Evergreens go into the challenge with a 20-2 record after their 4-3 league loss to Marshfield (Marshfield, WI).
The Lumberjacks (2-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Tomahawk (Tomahawk, WI). The Hatchets go into the non-league challenge with a 7-12 record. In their last challenge, Tomahawk was routed by Medford (Medford, WI), 12-1, in a league challenge.
