Lakeshore Lancers (Stevensville, MI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lancers now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Vicksburg for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 15. Lakeshore will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Plainwell (Plainwell, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-0.

With the loss, New Prairie falls to 11-11 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Mishawaka Marian (Mishawaka, IN) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 15. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 3-12. Mishawaka Marian lost 9-4 in their recent league challenge against South Bend Clay (South Bend, IN)
