The Bend Lava Bears got by the host McNary Celtics baseball team by a count of 4-3 in Saturday's league bout.

The Lava Bears now possess a 12-14 record. They take the field next when they host Mountain View for a 6A Mountain Valley bout on Tuesday, May 17. Bend will face a Cougars team coming off a 8-1 league win over South Salem (Salem, OR). The Cougars record now stands at 16-7.

Next up, the Celtics clash with the Putnam Kingsmen (Milwaukie, OR) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 18. McNary will attempt to improve on its 9-13 season record. The Kingsmen go into the game with a 13-4 record after their 8-3 non-league win over Wells (Portland, OR).
