New York High School Baseball - Salmon River defeats Canton

May 14, 2022: Fort Covington, NY 12937

Spectators at Saturday's league battle between the Salmon River Shamrocks (Fort Covington, NY) and the visiting Canton Golden Bears (Canton, NY), saw Salmon River's baseball squad beat Canton by a margin of 7-1.

Coming up next, the Shamrocks play the Potsdam Sandstoners (Potsdam, NY) in a Section 10 Central battle, on Tuesday, May 17. Salmon River will attempt to better on its 9-4 season record. The Sandstoners enter the battle with a 1-7 record after their 10-0 league loss to Massena (Massena, NY).

The Golden Bears now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Ogdensburg Free Academy for a Section 10 Central battle on Monday, May 16. Canton will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 8-5 league win over Gouverneur (Gouverneur, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-6.
