The Mountain View Cougars baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting South Salem Saxons to 1 in the Cougars league victory on Saturday.
The Cougars (16-7) will now prepare for their match against Bend (Bend, OR). The Lava Bears go into the 6A Mountain Valley match with a 12-14 record. In their last match, Bend tipped McNary (Keizer, OR), 4-3, in a league match.
The Saxons (5-17) will now prepare for their match against Sprague (Salem, OR). The Olympians go into the 6A Mountain Valley match with a 19-6 record. In their last match, Sprague tipped Summit (Bend, OR), 6-5, in a league match.
